I'm not the biggest Coldplay fan but i do enjoy some of there songs, tend to create a good catchy melody and vocals.
I like the sort of synth parts that give it a little bit of an 80's feel, it's not far from sounding similar to The Midnight.
ZHU is set to be bringing out a remix for it so there must be stems or something coming i guess :D

I'm not overly fond of the track. It's too far from their usual 'vibe'.
When ever I see Chris Martin in a video I have the over whelming urge for someone to walk up to him and slap him with a large wet fish...:D
Not sure why that is..=8
thats interesting... we could have a debate on if bands should stick to their own vibe or if they should push forward and move on to different avenues.
I guess thats the ultimate challenge when you get successful and famous...make everyone happy .
I have heard coldplay fans complaining as they sounded too much the same in the first 2 albums , i heard fans complaining they moved away from their original sound in the following years..
what do you all think ?
expectations is a bad beast... I have to be honest Ive always liked Coldplay there are songs that I like more than other and the same goes for entire albums. but also there are albums that have grown on me . for example I remember I was completely disappointed with " ghost stories" but after a few listens it became one of their albums I enjoy listening back the most.
Feel it could be ideal if they it, so they still did the style they're known for and got popular with but also mixed in a few different new styles. I suppose it's pretty tough because people tend to get tired of the same stuff, but some people want the same stuff as that's their favourite, but also it's good to try new styles as a something possibly better could come from this. The only example i can currently think of though is The Killers, they tried something different with their Sawdust album and for me personally i try to pretend it doesn't exist :D (apart from the last track on it).
